Light In The Attic Records are celebrating a half-century of blistering Pacific Northwest rock’n’roll with a three-LP boxed set by the Sonics – easily one of the most essential releases to be offered during the recent Black Friday Record Store Day.
The first two platters reproduce the band’s seminal Here Are The Sonics! and Boom albums, full of torrid action such as Strychnine, Boss Hoss and Dirty Robber. The third gathers 10 rarities, including three Christmas selections, a take-no-prisoners revival of Little Richard’s Keep A Knockin’ and live renditions of Psycho and The Witch.
A 36-page LP-sized book with a 5000-word oral history of the still highly-active band and a poster are part of the limited edition deluxe package.
